Quick Tips

1. For journaling or quotes click on, quotegarden or quoteland or you can purchase preprinted quotes or better yet trawl the web, pick the best and make your own fave list of quotes/poems and print them as you need them

2. There's nothing wrong with nicking other people's good ideas; if you see a great layout, copy it or use it as inspiration,  putting in a bit of yourself. See the "Scrapbooking Projects" section for websites that display layouts

3. Have a sketch book or box to keep all your ideas in, including those you've "borrowed" from elsewhere

4. When considering a layout, make sketches, planning where to lay out photographs.

5. Consider paper tearing which is easy and fast and the less perfect it is, the better it looks

6. Use premade embellishments, available in the shop on this website

7. If you're making an album for each of your children, try doing an identical or very similar page for each album.  You don't have to come up with entirely different layouts for each child. Create personal pages around special events like birthdays. Keep the monthly chronicals similar, and you'll finish more pages faster.

8. Always buy coordinating products to make your layout easier to put together and save you  time matching up colours.
